Being a part of a Parish is certainly like being a part of a family. We all participate in the keeping up of our Temple. We work together, pray together, learn together, and play together; growing together as the Body of Christ.
The Choir
The choir provides an essential part of every Orthodox worship service. Music is always sung without instrumental accompaniment, which means that careful preparation is critical to achieving a sound that helps to create a devout atmosphere. Our choir consists of roughly ten members in four sections; Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass.
Choir members who wish to sing for the greater feasts attend choir practice every Saturday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Those whose time is more limited attend only the Sunday practice and sing only at non-festal services.
After every Divine Liturgy, we gather together for a simple meal. Four teams of parishioners take turns hosting the meal and set up, provide food, and clean up on their assigned Sunday. This is a wonderful time to get to know the other members of our parish family.
