Gabrielle Bronzich serves St. Sava as the Minister of Music. Gabrielle has been conducting our choir for 3 years now and comes to St. Sava with over eighteen years of experience in Music Ministry. She is dedicated to building a music program that will enhance worship and encourage the participation of the parish. Building on the foundation that Subdeacon Athanasius (Bob) Mounger left her, Gabrielle has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of the arrangements used at St. Sava. Working with Father Seraphim, she has been instrumental in providing the choir and the parish with service books for several of our major feast days, and continues to expand this library of work, with the ultimate goal of a complete set of service books, including music, for the entire Church Year.
Gabrielle has also established a youth and children's choir which sings at the daily liturgies on Thursday mornings.
Gabrielle holds two degrees in music; a Master's Degree in Organ and Choral Conducting from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor's Degree in Church Music from the University of Southern Mississippi. Gabrielle came to Texas from Auburn, Alabama in 1994 and served as music minister in many churches throughout the metroplex before her chrismation into the Holy Orthodox Church in 2004. She came to St. Sava in 2005, and began directing the choir there in 2006.
In addition to her work at St. Sava, Gabrielle teaches elementary music and drama at a local Christian school. Her husband is Subdeacon David Bronzich, who also serves at St. Sava.
